Join us at Blankets Creek on Saturday, 10/6, from 11:30am - 3:00pm to celebrate IMBA/SORBA's National Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day. There will be a limited number of loaner bikes available for kids to check out for kids who do not have a bike to try the trails. Check in at the Blankets Creek parking lot at 11:30AM. Group rides for kids of all ages and skill level will begin at the skills yard at noon led by students from Norga. Then, there will be a limbo, bunny hop, slow race, and granny gear race in the skills yard at 1:00pm with prizes to be awarded. There will be hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, and Free-Flite Bicyles will be on site with a tent set up for minor bike checks and tire pumps. Finally, there will be an intermediate level group ride on Dwelling Loop at 2:00pm led by Lisa Randall. Meet at the parking lot kiosk at 2:00pm to ride out to Dwelling.
If the parking lot at Blankets is full, then please park at the church lot next door, but please ride the sidewalk over to the Blankets Creek lot and do not cut through the construction zone. Post your child's picture from this event on IMBA's Facebook page for a chance to win a Specialized bike.
